Trade index ETFs, not single stocks.
For short-term trading and for positions that go underwater, use index ETFs rather than individual large-cap stocks. KODEX 200 is preferable because it has no transaction tax or capital gains tax and the index tends to recover, unlike individual stocks. TIGER KOSDAQ 150 is also currently acceptable.

TIGER KOSDAQ 150 over individual stock trading
Park Se-ik recommends trading broad index ETFs such as TIGER KOSDAQ 150 instead of individual stocks. He says KOSDAQ 150 is now also fine to use. An index recovers even after a poorly timed entry, while individual stocks can fail and never come back.

Korean mid/small caps will lead next
Park expects leadership rotation after the July plunge, similar to past post-crash patterns. The market may be range-bound, but lagging Korean KOSDAQ mid/small caps and undervalued domestic value stocks should become the next leaders, so investors should focus on stock picking rather than the index level. He also mentions TIGER KOSDAQ150 as an index ETF his company bought at the 5,200 bottom.
